Project Background

OMS Consulting Services, LLC (OMS CS) staff were engaged by a private, investor-owned utility to conduct system restoration emergency response services. OMS CS staff were mobilized to help the utility’s emergency response team with timely system restoration efforts and asset integrity assessments following record breaking storm events that brought snowfall, high wind, rain, and flooding.
Scope

OMS CS staff conducted condition assessment surveys and assessed right-of-way for high-hazard trees following severe winter storms, summer public safety power shutoff events, and wildfire emergency response.  OMS CS consulting utility foresters, tree risk assessors, certified tree safety professionals, ISA certified arborists, equipment inspectors and asset integrity specialists evaluated utility rights-of-way for hazard trees and assessed electric asset integrity in storm impacted areas.   OMS CS staff were an integral part of the utility emergency response, planning, and incident command teams.
